Bruce Friedrich
Executive Director, The Good Food Institute & Co-Founder, New Crop Capital

Bruce Friedrich is executive director of The Good Food Institute (www.GFI.org) and co-founder of New Crop Capital (www.NewCropCapital.com). By assisting and investing in the most promising plant-based and "clean meat" (real meat produced without animal slaughter) alternatives to animal agriculture, GFI and NCC are creating a healthy, humane, and sustainable food supply.

Bruce's articles appear regularly in the Huffington Post, and he has penned op-eds for the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, the Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune, and many other publications. Bruce has appeared on The Today Show, NBC Nightly News, CBS Evening News, and a variety of programs on MSNBC, Fox News, and CNN. He is a popular speaker on college campuses and has presented repeatedly at most of the nation's top universities, including Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Stanford, and MIT.

Bruce co-authored one book, contributed chapters to five more, and has written six law review articles. Bruce graduated manga cum laude, Order of the Coif, from Georgetown Law and Phi Beta Kappa from Grinnell College. He also holds degrees from Johns Hopkins University and the London School of Economics.
