Details

The Institute for African Development (IAD), in collaboration with the Cornell International Institute for Food, Agriculture and Development (CIIFAD), will host a symposium on the theme ‘Mobile Money, Financial Inclusion, and Development in Africa’  from April 19, 21–22, 2017.  Within a multidisciplinary framework, the symposium will seek to examine the role mobile technology plays in Africa’s development, focusing on global to local trends and areas of tension around financial inclusion.  
The symposium will bring diverse speakers from private and public sectors—academia, global institutions, NGOs, foundations, networks, and media, among others.  The summary of the schedule is as follows:
