Have you ever wished you knew how to program but had no idea where to start? Johnson Women in Technology (JWiT) presents an Introduction to Coding led by world-famous programmers Lauren Woodrick and Johnson's very own Austin Piech.

Prior to coming to Cornell, Austin and Lauren were heavily involved in the nonprofit organization, Girl Develop It, which provides affordable programs for adult women interested in learning web and software development in a judgement-free zone. They have taught multiweek, multilevel classes on a variety of tech topics, such as Intro to Programming, Python, SEO, HTML, JavaScript and Ruby.

This session will provide an introduction to Ruby. Ruby is typically used in web app construction or prototyping and participants can continue practicing the new skills gained from the session through Ruby on Rails.

This session is open to all students and dinner will be provided. Space is limited* so sign up today!

*If the session fills up, priority will be granted to Johnson Women in Technology (JWiT) Conference ticketholders.
