The Johnson Club of New York and Johnson Alumni Affairs cordially invite you to join them for the first installment of the 2015-2016 Thought Leader Series in New York City:

Corporate Governance and Activist Investors
featuring

Robert J. Swieringa, Professor Emeritus of Accounting and Anne and Elmer Lindseth Dean Emeritus

Monday, October 26, 2015
6:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Alliance Bernstein
1345 Avenue of the Americas
New York, NY 10105

Swieringa will lead a discussion of corporate governance processes, mechanisms, functions, and activities. There have been several waves of corporate governance reform and trends since 2000. Activist investors build on past efforts and have developed a relatively simple playbook for bringing about change. Executives and directors need to prepare for activist investors and not allow their business judgment to be usurped or overly influenced by these investors' activities.

Cost:
Alumni $40 | Students $20 | Guests $40

A special thank you to Alliance Berstein for graciously sponsoring the space for this event.
