Pierre R. Breber, 50, is a corporate vice president and president of Chevron Gas and Midstream, a position he has held since January 2014. He is responsible for commercializing ChevronÔÇÖs natural gas resources and supporting the development of new growth opportunities worldwide. He also is responsible for overseeing ChevronÔÇÖs shipping, pipeline, power, energy efficiency, and supply and trading operations.
Previously Breber was managing director of the Asia South Business Unit from 2012 to 2013. In that role he was responsible for upstream operations in six countries: Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam. With more than 20 years of service, Breber has served in a number of leadership positions with increasing responsibilities including Chevron vice president and treasurer; vice president, Finance, Chevron Downstream; and manager, Finance and Business Services, Chevron Upstream Europe Business Unit based in Aberdeen, Scotland.
Breber serves as a board member of the U.S.-Japan Business Council.
Breber joined Chevron in 1989 as a financial analyst. He earned bachelorÔÇÖs and masterÔÇÖs degrees in mechanical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1986 and 1987, respectively, and a masterÔÇÖs degree in business administration from Cornell University in 1989.
