Johnson Alumni Affairs and the Johnson Club of New York City cordially invite you to join them, along with special guest Mark W. Nelson, Anne and Elmer Lindseth Dean at the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management, for the next installment of the Thought Leader Series in NYC.

Celebrating Entrepreneurs and the Professor Who Inspired Them

Join us for a panel discussion with Cornell entrepreneurs and learn about their ups and downs in founding and growing their companies. Panelists will discuss their experiences with Entrepreneurship at Cornell, a program that helps create and promote entrepreneurship throughout Cornell with educational initiatives, experiential learning, events, and networking opportunities.

As past students of the late professor David J. BenDaniel, panelists will share the impact he had in nurturing their entrepreneurial endeavors. Professor BenDaniel was instrumental to the launch of Entrepreneurship at Cornell and dedicated over 30 years to growing Cornell's entrepreneurship curriculum and resources available to students. He mentored a large number of students each year as faculty advisor for the BR Venture Fund and taught courses in entrepreneurship and private equity for both MBA and non-Johnson students. Stories abound about the lives he touched and his tireless efforts to bring entrepreneurship education at Cornell to the next level. Please join us as panelists share just a few of these stories, and in this way celebrate his legacy.

Our discussion will be moderated by Tom Schryver, MBA '02, Visiting Lecturer of Managementand will include insight from panelists:

Adele Cirone Oliva, MBA '93, Founding Partner, 1315 Capital
Jeff D'Onofrio, MBA '11, CEO, Tumblr
John Bonhomme, MBA '07, Principal of Thorobird Companies and Executive Director, JP Morgan
