Susan Israel founded Energy Necklace Project in 2008 to connect a community that fosters awareness and action towards improving the health of the environment. The name Energy Necklace is an homage to the Emerald Necklace, the magnificent park system that encircles Boston. The organization specializes in team building, public art, and creative engagement. Susan started Energy Necklace Project at studio2sustain, where she was a Principal and Founder. She is a LEED Accredited Professional; Connective Leadership Institute certified trainer; and a member of the Harvard Alumni Association Board of Directors. She earned an A.B. from Harvard College, a Master of Architecture from Harvard Graduate School of Design, and attended the Museum of Fine Arts School in Boston.
