James "Jamey" B. Edwards is currently CEO of Emergent Medical Associates ("EMA"), Southern California's leading emergency room management company. Under Jamey's leadership the Company has increased revenue over 400% and executed a revenue diversification strategy resulting in the founding of Benchmark Hospitalists, Carenection and InScribe Health, as well as investments in Avanti Hospitals, LLC and the Language Access Network.

During his tenure, EMA has been a 4 time Inc. 500 | 5000 honoree, named one of the top 150 companies in LA by the Los Angeles Business Journal ("LABJ") and honored as one of healthcare's hottest companies 2x by Modern Healthcare Magazine. Jamey also serves as CEO of the Language Access Network, the national leader in unified medical communications and remote video interpretation.

Prior to joining EMA, he was a member of the Investment Banking Division of Lehman Brothers, where he consummated transactions totaling more than $5 billion for leading companies including InterActive Corp, Six Flags, Sirius Satellite Radio and Google. His experience included executing initial public offerings, follow-on offerings, restructurings and debt financings, as well as strategic, defense and M&A assignments across the Internet / New Media and Healthcare verticals. While at Lehman, he served as captain of the Cornell Recruiting Team and was elected to the firm's Global Advisory Council.

He is a Board Member for Santa Monica Chapter of the American Red Cross, a member of the Young President's Organization (Santa Monica Bay Chapter) and a Mentor at the LA Incubator Start Engine.

Jamey was been a 3x Honoree for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award (semifinalist in 2011 and a finalist in 2013 & 2014) and a 2x Honoree for the LABJ Healthcare Leadership Awards in the Medical Group CEO category.

He graduated as a Tradition Fellow from Cornell University in 1996 and received his MBA from Cornell's Johnson Graduate School of Management in 2003.
