NBA 5920: Israel trek mandatory preparation meeting #1
Details
Cultural Clues of the "Start-up Nation"
In this informal talk and Q&A, we will discuss peculiarities and idiosyncrasies of Israeli culture, as they reflect on the country's presumed reputation as a (or the!) Start-up Nation. This talk serves as a gentle, and even light, introduction to Israeli culture for non-Israelis in preparation for their first visit there. We will especially tie between particular Israeli phenomena and Israel's booming technology sector, through anecdotes, insides, and gross over-generalizations.
