Passing the Baton: Managing Effective Leadership Transition
Save time, avoid headaches, and set your club up for long-term success
Co-Sponsored by Student Council. Class of 2017 Club Officers Only
- Taking the time to reflect and hearing comments of classmates was invaluable. This helped stimulate ideas and discussion within my own club. The worksheet was a great takeaway and we used it during our transition process. I think going to this event is a great first step for any transition. You get to do a lot of the work in the event....plus get some credit, too!
- There were great ideas from all the crowd, especially since everyone has had a different experience as a leader
- Good discussion and ideas for passing down information, data, etc.
- The ability to reflect on goals set last year and our progress against these goals was really helpful
- I appreciated that it provided a moderated forum for the communal discussion of club challenges and experiences and that it provided a simple, effective framework for me to use as I work on transition
- This was a great opportunity for leaders in many different clubs to share learnings, insights, and recommendations
- The worksheet was very helpful and I'll take it with me for future reference. The facilitator also did a great job synthesizing the suggestions to make them concise and relevant
