Take what you have learned in PowerPoint 101 and PowerPoint 201 to the final level. This workshop is designed to provide a "safe" environment to understand, exercise and improve your presentation skills. Think of it as "extra practice" to the semester-long oral communications course you're taking (or haven't gotten around to yet). The focus is not on WHAT you will be presenting but rather HOW you present it.

Participants will be provided with two very basic PowerPoint decks with simplistic cases. Students must be able to type bullet points in PowerPoint and must complete the presentations prior to the workshop. They are designed to be "fill-in-the-blank" presentations and will not be in depth. Students will be creating the presentations based on personal experience, to create familiarity with material in a minimum amount of time as well as provide variety during the workshop. Students may also use the presentation they created in the PowerPoint 201 LSP. Prior approval is required by the instructor to ensure there is time for all participants to present.

Each student will present the first case (approximately 5 minutes per presentation), receive feedback and tips and then present a second case. We will focus on body language, eye contact, natural gesturing, volume, speed and voice pitch, the proper use of notes and other personal success factors.

Presenters will be recorded so that students can review the performance independently as well.
