Details
Responding to user needs – including usability, experience, emotion, socializing, and more – can help us improve the
design of interactive technologies from the user perspective. In this session, we will understand the user experience
design process to make more informed design decisions. We will learn techniques for ideating, critiquing, designing,
prototyping, and evaluating interactive technologies that are designed for people to use.
Prof. Gilly Leshed is the Director of the MPS Program in the Department of Information Science at Cornell. She teaches
courses in Human-Computer Interaction and in Crowds and Communities. Prior to her academic career, Prof. Leshed
