We have important decisions to make about energy that directly affect the economy and the environment.  To ground ourselves in where the world is today this MSP will allow participants to examine global and regional energy balances and future projections.  We will then apply this information to analyze and discuss tradeoffs and choices that our society must make today and in the future. 

Areas examined will include:

·             Shale gas economics and environmental impacts

·             Decisions facing the Cayuga power plant to convert from coal to natural gas

·             Challenges facing energy related innovation and startups
