Go backstage behind Excel worksheets to use Visual Basic for Excel, the powerful programming language built into Excel. This workshop is designed to familiarize you with the Visual Basic for Excel and its editor enough that you can manage macros yourself. You will progress from using macros (stored keystrokes) to recording macros, editing macros, managing macros, and writing a macro from scratch.

- Create macros by recording familiar tasks like printing and cell formatting
- Become familiar with the Visual Basic editor and editing tools
- Learn essential testing and debugging tools to find and fix code errors
- Edit Visual Basic code
- Write short macros from scratch
- Recognize Visual Basic objects, properties, methods, and procedures
- Enhance a worksheet with Visual Basic objects like buttons, scroll bars, and check boxes
- Use the With…End with programming structure
- Manage Visual Basic code: copy and paste macros between files; obtain
- Visual Basic code from the Web

Prerequisites: Competence building Excel worksheets. No programming experience is required or assumed.
