Join us for a special Black History Month event at St. James AME Zion Church, a historic stop on the Underground Railroad. Established in 1823, St. James AME Zion is one of the oldest Black churches in the region and has long been a pillar of resilience, faith, and activism. During the era of slavery, the church provided refuge to freedom seekers on their journey north.

Hear from Pastor Terrance A. King as he shares the powerful history of this sacred space, its role in the abolitionist movement, and its continued impact on the community today. This visit offers a unique opportunity to honor the past, celebrate Black heritage, and reflect on the strength and courage of those who paved the way for freedom.
