Maximiliano (Max) Ibañez is the CEO of Corpora, a family owned holding company, and serves as Chairman for Explora, Fork and Colunquen Investments, three of its subsidiaries. Before being named CEO, he served as COO of Corpora and briefly as interim CEO of Explora, in 2016. As COO he was responsible for coordinating with the CEO┬┤s of the group┬┤s 8 subsidiaries. He also led Corpora┬┤s team in the successful sale of 6 subsidiaries over the course of 4 years, for a combined EV of 1 Billion.
He is a member of the Virtuoso Sustainability Council, and a member of the Centro de Estudios Publicos Council (a Think Tank).
Prior to joining Corpora, Max was vice president of Sales in Tres Montes Lucchetti (another subsidiary) and before that he worked as an associate lawyer in two different litigating firms in Santiago, specializing in contractual arbitration and antitrust law.
Maximiliano earned an MBA and a Master Certificate in Hospitality Management, both from Cornell University, and a Bachelor of Law degree from Universidad Católica de Chile in Santiago. He has also attended Executive Courses in Family Businesses and Corporate Governance from Kellogg School of Management and Sustainability Leadership from Harvard University.
