The North American strawberry industry is valued at $3.5 billion. With the recent loss of effective chemicals to control soil-borne diseases and increased global climate change pressures, indoor strawberry production may be a solution for reliable year-round production of high-quality berries.

Dr. Blalock and Mr. Levine will be hosting a greenhouse tour, and will highlight factors of indoor strawberry production through a discussion following. Bonus - all attendees will be able to try a fresh strawberry from the greenhouse!
Dress Casual (jeans ok)
Food Provided (Fresh grown strawberries from the greenhouse)
