2028 MBA Student Council Presidential Debate

Join us for the 2028 MBA Student Council Presidential Debate, moderated by the current MBA Student Council Presidents. Each co-president team will have the opportunity to share its vision for Johnson, address student priorities, respond to the other team, and answer questions directly from the MBA community.

October 20 | 3:00 - 4:00 PM | Sage B10

Debate Format & Rules

Opening Statements: 2 minutes per team
Moderated Questions: 90 seconds per team to answer each question
Rebuttals: 45 seconds per team when applicable
Candidate-to-Candidate Questions: Each team may ask the opposing team a question. The opposing team receives 60 seconds to answer, followed by a 30-second response.
Audience Q&A: Students may ask questions directly to the candidates. Each team receives 60–90 seconds to respond.
Closing Statements: 90 seconds per team

Moderators will enforce time limits and ensure both teams receive equal opportunities to respond.
