Join the Smith Family Business Initiative as we host “Connected Conversations”, a monthly webinar series that explores topics relevant to family business owners, members, advisors, students, and alumni. We invite you to join us as we navigate the current uncertainty in our global economy, and its impacts on family businesses.

Are entrepreneurship and family business mutually exclusive? Amy Cosper believes that family businesses are just entrepreneurs who have succeeded. Amy now brings her entrepreneurial mindset to Family Business Magazine, one of the leading publications that focuses solely on family owned enterprises. Family Business Magazine is itself a family-owned business, and Amy joins as a key non-family executive. Amy will discuss the relationship between entrepreneurship and family business, where they diverge and converge, and explore why changing the narrative surrounding family business, which are often perceived as small, insular and conflictual needs to change.

Amy Cosper is the incoming Editor-in-Chief for Family Business Magazine. For over 30 years, family business leaders and owners have relied on Family Business as an information resource to help them improve their family dynamics and their businesses. Amy is the one of the most prominent voices in the world on the topic of entrepreneurship, Amy Cosper is the former Editor-in-Chief of Entrepreneur Media Inc. named Fast Company’s “25 Smartest Women on Twitter”, Cosper has not only been reporting and commenting on the world of entrepreneurship, she has been shaping it through the pages of a magazine that has seen meteoric growth, and become the most respected resource in its field.
