Join SGE and Energy Club for a behind-the-scenes look into what powers Cornell! We will be getting a first-hand look at the Combined Heat & Power Plant, a LEED Gold certified building. Standard power plants use just 40% of the fuel they burn to produce electricity. Cornell employs combined heat and power, or the simultaneous production of electricity and the utilization of “waste” heat for campus heating requirements, to optimize the efficiency of the Central Energy Plant. We hope to see you there!

Location: 150 Maple Ave (Across from Coal Yard Cafe) - Please meet in parking lot at 1:45
*Closed toed shoes required, long pants recommended.
**No purses/backpacks/etc. allowed. There will be a car in which to store these belongings if needed.
