Club Funding

Johnson MBA student clubs & organizations generally have the following funding sources (listed in order of preferred use). Please contact StudentActivities@johnson.cornell.edu with any questions.

  1. Graduate and Professional Student Assembly Finance Committee (GPSAFC) allocated annually to fully registered student organizations, based on funding tier. All expenditures must follow GPSAFC Funding Guidelines. Reimbursements are processed, and some direct-charges can also be facilitated. NOTE: whenever your club is using this money, be sure to include "Funded by the GPSAFC. Open to the Graduate Community. Please contact EMAIL regarding any accommodations you may need to attend this event." on all posters, emails, programs, etc. GPSAFC funded events must be posted on the CORNELL CampusGroups Calendar with the "Funded by GPSAFC" event tag; in addition to the JOHNSON CampusGroups Calendar where the event registration occurs.
  2. Membership fees/dues - deposited into club checking or PayPal accounts for INDEPENDENT (EO) organizations, and into a Johnson School operating account for UNIVERSITY (IT) organizations.
  3. Ticket sales from events - deposited into club checking or PayPal accounts for INDEPENDENT (EO) organizations, and into a Johnson School operating account for UNIVERSITY (IT) organizations.
  4. Fund raising activity (sale of promotional items*, etc.) - deposited into club checking or PayPal accounts for INDEPENDENT (EO) organizations, and into a Johnson School operating account for UNIVERSITY (IT) organizations. *promotional items design is subject to the Cornell University approval process.
  5. Johnson School Student Budget Committee (SBC): This organization provides financial support for student activities. More information on the SBC.
  6. Johnson School Student Council Title-Town: Funding is available to teams representing Johnson at high profile case competitions and conferences. More information on Title-Town.
  7. Corporate Funding and Sponsorship / UNIVERSITY (IT) organizations only - The SC Johnson College of Business External Relations and Alumni Affairs offices provide oversight for club corporate fundraising, sponsorship, and executive speaker requests. Donations are made to Cornell University and managed in a Cornell account. See Club Corporate Outreach for additional information.
