Order Your Cap and Gown (Regalia)

ALL GRADUATES MUST WEAR REGALIA FOR THE CORNELL TECH NYC CEREMONY & ITHACA CEREMONIES. ORDER LINKS WILL BE ACTIVE ONLINE IN JANUARY 2026.

Johnson Cornell Tech & Dual-Campus MBAs | Please refer to the email you received from Johnson Student Activities on January 22, 2026 to get your unique ordering code and site link. Cornell Tech and Dual-Campus MBA graduates will order regalia by the March 16 deadline, pick it up in NYC before the May 15 ceremony, and keep this regalia for use at the Ithaca ceremonies. Ithaca Two-Year MBAs | Please refer to the email you received from Johnson Student Activities on January 22, 2026 to get your unique ordering code and site link. You must place your order by the April 15 deadline.

PhDs | Details on ordering regalia by the April 15 deadline is available here. NOTE that there is a 20% price discount on orders placed by March 31.

Tsinghua FMBAs | Details on ordering regalia by the April 15 deadline is available here. NOTE that there is a 20% price discount on orders placed by March 31.

Executive MBAs | DO NOT place any regalia order via the online site, as your regalia is ordered by your program office for the Saturday ceremonies.

NOTE: If you are an Ithaca MBA dual degree student ordering other regalia for another Cornell ceremony, or if you own regalia from a previous degree, you may borrow an MBA hood. Just email Student Activities prior to Commencement.

Your Name in the Cornell University Program - April  10 Deadline
A Cornell University Commencement Program containing all graduate names will be posted online after both Cornell University ceremonies at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2026. Names in this program are taken from your Student Center profile. The preferred name on file will be used. If there is none, your legal name will be used. Changes must be made in Student Center by April 10.

Ithaca Two-Year MBAs, Johnson Cornell Tech & Dual-Campus MBAs, PhDs: Your Name at the Johnson School Recognition Ceremony
You will receive an email in the spring from Johnson Student Activities with a survey link to inform us how you want your name listed in the Johnson School Saturday afternoon printed program, and how you want your name announced as you cross the stage. Please complete this survey no later than May 1.

Guest Tickets

TICKETS: CORNELL UNIVERSITY ITHACA CEREMONIES. ORDER LINKS WILL BE ACTIVE IN JANUARY 2026.

All Johnson Graduates | Tickets are required for the Ithaca Saturday morning Cornell University ceremony in Schoellkopf Stadium, and it is requested that you limit yourself to 4 guests. You must register yourself and guests when registration opens in the spring.

PhDs | Tickets are not required for PhD students and guests attending the Ithaca university ceremony in Barton Hall Friday evening, but you are asked to register yourself and guests when the form opens in the spring. Cornell PhD Ceremony Information.

TICKETS: JOHNSON SCHOOL ITHACA CEREMONIES

Ithaca Two-Year MBAs,  Johnson Cornell Tech MBAs, Dual-Campus MBAs | Tickets are not required for the Johnson School PhD, Ithaca Two-Year MBA, Johnson Cornell Tech MBA & Dual-Campus MBA Ithaca ceremony on Saturday afternoon, and there is no limit to the number of guests. Graduates will be expected to complete a survey in the spring regarding their attendance plans and guidance on name pronunciation.

EMBA, FMBA & MSBA | Tickets are not required for the EMBA, FMBA & MSBA Ithaca ceremony on Saturday evening, and there is no limit to the number of guests.

MPS-MANAGEMENT | Tickets are not required for the MPS Ithaca ceremony on Sunday morning, and there is no limit to the number of guests.

TICKETS: CORNELL TECH NYC CEREMONY

Johnson Cornell Tech & Dual-Campus MBAs | Tickets are required for guests attending the May 15 NYC recognition ceremony. Please refer to emails from Cornell Tech Student Affairs for more information, or visit the Cornell Tech Recognition Ceremony website.

Your Individual Photos

OPTIONAL: Ithaca Two-Year MBAs, Johnson Cornell Tech & Dual-Campus MBAs, PhDs: Pre-Register email addresses and phone numbers to receive proofs of the individual photos taken of you at the Saturday afternoon, May 23 Johnson School Ceremony. Search for Cornell University - The Johnson School, and be sure you have the correct ceremony. If you pre-register, you can save 20% off photo packages.

OPTIONAL: MPS-Management: Pre-Register email addresses and phone numbers to receive proofs of the individual photos taken of you at the Sunday morning, May 24 Johnson School Ceremony. Search for Cornell University - MPS Spring, and be sure you have the correct ceremony. If you pre-register, you can save 20% off photo packages.

Lodging

You will find helpful information for your guests on the Cornell Commencement website, including information about options for Commencement Housing on Campus which opens for registration on January 7.

Attire

Throughout the weekend, you and your guests should dress comfortably (business casual is the norm). Be prepared for crowds and lots of walking; and for assorted weather (hot, wet, cold, etc.) Bartels Hall is not air conditioned, and there is little shade/coverage in Schoellkopf Stadium.

Parking and Road Closures

For weekend parking and bus information, review this page. NOTE: All Central Campus Roads are CLOSED SATURDAY 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. For MOBILITY IMPAIRED PARKING & SEATING ONLY, you must apply for an accessibility plan permit from the university by 5:00 p.m. on May 21.

Security

To uphold health and safety protocols, minimize contact and ensure a swifter entry process, carrying a clear bag is strongly encouraged at events this weekend. Note that graduates and guests entering large events may pass through metal detectors and may be subject to additional screening.

Severe Weather

In the event of severe weather on Saturday, the university may move to the Severe Weather Plan.
