Cornell University Commencement Ceremony

For your guests – If you have anyone with mobility issues (wheelchair, etc.), there is ground-level access to Newman Arena, Bartels Hall via the south entrance, and designated seating on the main floor for the Saturday Johnson Ceremony.  You should also direct them to http://commencement.cornell.edu/May/mobility.html  Guests can arrive at Newman Arena any time on Saturday, but most people start arriving around 1:30 pm.  Guests should plan to arrive in Shoellkopf Stadium by 9:00 am on Sunday for the university ceremony.  Be sure you give your guests the severe weather plan tickets in advance of Sunday.  In the event of severe weather, THEY will need them to enter Barton Hall, NOT YOU.  See the university’s Severe Weather Plan: http://commencement.cornell.edu/May/tickets.html.  Throughout the weekend, encourage your guests to dress comfortably (business casual is fine); be prepared for crowds and lots of walking; and for assorted weather (hot, wet, cold, etc.)
