Details
The session will provide an overview of investment management for University Endowments and Non-Profit Foundations ("E&Fs"). The discussion will cover how a portfolio can be structured to fund a non-profit's mission in perpetuity, and how E&Fs possess unique investment characteristics (in time horizon, risk profile, taxation, etc.) enabling a more equity-focused, less liquid approach. A breakout exercise will explore the process of investment manager selection and the critical factors in assessing success. The role of social responsibility (overlays, divestment, and impact investing) among E&Fs will comprise a portion of group discussion.
It available to first- and second-year MBA students, as well as non-Johnson students (not for credit). If you have already taken this workshop in the past, you are unable to take it for credit again this year.
