This lecture is open to all Cornell faculty, staff and students.

Mark R. Weber is a creative contrarian who calls himself an entrepreneur because it sounds better than "self-employed." Mark is the Co-Producer of the award-winning film POVERTY, INC., a critical examination of the Western development establishment and the economics of charity through the lens of developing world entrepreneurs and leaders. Since premiering at the Austin Film Festival, the film has earned over 35 international film festival honors and 11 awards, invitations from top universities and conferences, and worldwide distribution including theatrical releases in New York and Los Angles (Fall 2015). Visit www.povertyinc.org to learn more.

Prior to Mark's visit in class, we will be screening the film, Poverty, Inc. as a basis for discussion. Please attend one of the screenings. Separate invitations for the screenings will be sent out once the times and locations have been finalized.
