This workshop will help students think about their personal leadership story and how it increase their influence and impact by telling that story. Jermone Deroy of Narrativ will lead students through an interactive and experiential workshop to help them understand and articulate their values, map their leadership story, and preactice telling their leadership narrative.  Students will leave with increased self-awareness and and ability to drive impact through storytelling. 

Participants will earn 0.1 Leadership Skills Program (LSP) credits for full attendace at this event. MBAs can use up to 1.5 LSP credits toward graduation requirements. 

About the faciltitator: 

Jerome Deroy has led thousands of individuals through training programs all over the world in companies as diverse as Prudential, Cigna, Johnson and Johnson, Twitter, and Capital One. He’s worked with household non-profit organizations such as UNICEF as well as Internet based companies and social enterprises. He has taught the art of storytelling to
students, staff and faculty, in the Design and Management course at Parsons, The New School of Design, Cornell’s MBA programs in healthcare, the RH Smith School of Business (University of Maryland), the City University of New York, Pace University, and Columbia University.

He coaches CEOs, startup entrepreneurs, and program officers in the art of storytelling for pitches, fundraising, presentations and keynote addresses. After obtaining his MBA, he joined the bank BNP Paribas in Hong Kong, where he was marketing manager from 1999 to 2003. He moved to New York in 2004, working as a production manager and distribution coordinator on documentary films. In 2006, he started developing and leading Narativ’s training programs, focusing on applying the programs to client and staff communication and engagement.
