Registration is now closed (this event already took place).
Did you notice the snowfall this week?? We did too! We'll be snowshoeing at Shindagan Hollow this coming Saturday. Yes, we realize it's (...very...) short notice. We'll be better about giving more leeway in the future. But hark! The snow calls!
Please register here if you'd like to come. No snowshoes required (we'll be renting snowshoes for you from Cornell Outdoor Education). We're limiting this event to 15 spots. If you've never gone snowshoeing before...imagine wearing giant flip-flops on your feet and walking in the snow. Exactly. It's fun.
Meeting place: Sage Hall Parking lot
When: Saturday, February 15
Total Time: 9am - noon
Dress: Please wear warm clothing. Layers recommended. Gloves. Hat. Scarves. Essentials. You'll be moving so will warm up but you want to make sure that you're covered if we take a break. Small backpack recommended to bring water and anything else you need. IMPORTANT: wear comfortable snow boots (i.e. waterproof) that you can walk in. We will strap in your boots to the snowshoes.
If you have a car, please do bring it, we'll need it! We'll be driving to Shindagan Hollow and hiking one of the trails. It's about a 20 minute drive from school. And the trail is about 3 miles. We'll probably get back a bit before noon.
