Dan is the founder of GoodWorks Group, a nonprofit consultancy and philanthropy advisor service founded in 1995. After graduating from Cornell with a BS Engr. (1979) in Operations Research and an MBA (1980), he began his work in fundraising and alumni affairs at the Johnson School in 1984. He has served as senior vice president for development at Brandeis University. He's a life member of the Cornell University Council, active Cornell volunteer, and frequent visitor to Ithaca where his daughters (2019 and 2023) allow him the honor of buying them dinner. In 2000 he helped found the Community Foundation of Tompkins County.
