HTC Big Red Tech Case Off – Final Round at Microsoft NYC

HTC’s Big Red Tech Case Off is our inaugural tech strategy competition — a chance to tackle real-world challenges, collaborate under pressure, and pitch your ideas to alumni and industry judges. Finalists will pitch live at the Microsoft office in NYC!

Final Round: Thursday, November 14
Location: Microsoft Office, New York City
Time: Finalists will be given specific arrival and pitch times (TBD)

What to Expect:
- Finalist teams will present live in front of a panel of Microsoft and industry judges.
- Expect high visibility, real-time feedback, and next-level networking opportunities.
- This is your chance to showcase your strategic thinking, teamwork, and creativity on a big stage.

Transportation details & logistics will be shared with finalist teams after Round 1.

HTC Big Red Tech Case Off Competition – Round 1 Pitches

HTC’s Big Red Tech Case Off Competition is our inaugural tech strategy competition - a chance to tackle real-world challenges, collaborate under pressure, and pitch your ideas to alumni and industry judges. Finalists will pitch live at the Microsoft office in NYC!

Round 1 pitches will take place on Thursday, November 6 after Sage Social
Location: Breazzano LL23
Time: You’ll be assigned a 30-minute time slot between 6 - 8:30 PM
Dress Code: Business Professional

What to Expect:
-Teams will give a 4-minute pitch, followed by a 1-minute Q&A.
-A panel of judges will evaluate each pitch and select finalists to advance to the NYC round at Microsoft.
-Finalist teams will be announced shortly after.

Be sure to bring energy, clarity, and bold thinking - this is your moment to stand out!

The Johnson community is encouraged to attend the Round 1 pitches and cheer on your fellow classmates!

HTC Big Red Tech Case Competition – Prompt Drop

HTC’s Big Red Tech Case Off is our inaugural tech strategy competition - a chance to tackle real-world challenges, collaborate under pressure, and pitch your ideas to alumni and industry judges. Finalists will pitch live at the Microsoft office in NYC!

The case prompt will be released on October 31.
All registered participants will receive the prompt via email that morning, along with submission guidelines and judging criteria.

What to Expect:
-Your team will have 6 days to develop your solution.
-First-round pitches will take place November 6.
-Be prepared to think strategically, get creative, and move fast - just like in the real tech world.

All participants must register by EOD Friday, October 27.
This deadline is for both team sign-ups and free agents!

Key Details:
-Each individual must register, even if you're on a team.
-You'll be asked to list your team name (if applicable) during registration.
-Don’t have a team yet? No problem - register as a free agent and we’ll match you with others!
-Teams can include up to 4 Johnson students, with a minimum of 2 HTC members and no more than 2 second-years.
-Finalists will pitch live at Microsoft NYC!
