Stock Pitch Competition Prep Session 1

Guided by two Cornell MBA alumni (Nick Griffith, MBA '14, CFA, and Sahil Bhatia, MBA '12, CFA), this workshop will guide students through the process of analyzing stocks by applying frameworks to healthcare stocks.

Sahil is a Cornell alumnus (MBA '12) and is currently Managing Director of the Life Sciences Group at Manning and Napier. In this capacity, he is the lead Analyst on all healthcare equity investments for an approx. $18B investment management firm. Sahil has over a decade of experience in something he loves to do - fundamental investing with a focus on deep, bottom-up analysis with a long-term focus to generate superior returns for clients. He lives in St. Petersburg, FL, with his wife and two daughters and is an avid runner.

Nick is a Cornell alumnus (MBA '14) and is currently a PM on the Mid-Cap Value Fund at Thrivent. In this role, he is a generalist with a focus on the healthcare, consumer discretionary, and consumer staples sectors. Thrivent manages ~35bn of assets with a fundamental long-term process. He is passionate about contrarian value investing and noted that the combination of business analysis, strategy, and human psychology that led him to this job still energizes him every day. He lives in Los Angeles and is an avid tennis player and occasionally dabbles in pickleball.
