CELEBRATE BLACK HISTORY MONTH

Black History Month gives us a lot to honor and celebrate. The Black Graduate Business Association kicked things off at last week’s Sage Social, but be sure to take advantage of all of the events that will be happening throughout the month:

DIGITAL AGRICULTURE HACKATHON

As part of the top five agriculture schools in the World, Cornell will be hosting students from Wageningen, Sao Paulo and UC Davis to talk about global collaboration and impact! The Hackathon will be taking place February 28 to March 2 and is open to all students. Sponsors include Microsoft, Carghill, xarvio by BASF, Wegmans, Trimble, Corteva, Dairy One and DFA. Need more convincing? Watch these videos or click here for more information!

OPT APPLICATIONS FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

Graduating international second-year and AMBA students should consider applying for OPT as soon as possible. Last year, OPT applications took an average of four to five months (versus 90 days historically). You may file your application up to 90 days before graduation. Please reach out to Kathryn Kvasnica at kdk77@cornell.edu or Annie Marra at aem324@cornell.edu with any questions.

POST A SUMMER HOUSING OPPORTUNITY FOR INCOMING STUDENTS!

Student Services needs our help! The incoming One-Year and Cornell Tech MBA students will be looking for housing options in Ithaca, so if you have a living space that will be available to sublet or rent during the summer, please add your information to this google sheet. There is also a separate tab for household goods! The only follow-up item? Be sure to update the sheet when the apartment has been filled or your item is sold!
