ARE YOU A HEALTH & WELLNESS ENTHUSIAST?
For Health & Wellness Week (10/23 to 10/29), Student Council partners with other student organizations to highlight the importance of remembering to care for ourselves, both physically and mentally. If you're a member of the community with a passion for anything health & wellness related, we want your help! Whether you're a certified yoga or fitness instructor, want to share your meditation practice with others, or into healthy cooking, there's a space for you to get involved. Reach out to Brendan McGrath (bbm54@cornell.edu) with ideas or for more information.  

BATTLE OF THE BRANDS
Interested in brand management or e-commerce? You should apply for Battle of the Brands! Seven company-sponsored teams compete over two weeks to target and position their product for the Johnson community. The focus of this year's competition will be e-commerce, complete with a customizable product page. The event will culminate with a virtual market on Monday, November 2. Interested in participating? SWITCH THE PITCH APPLICATIONS ARE OPEN
Applications for Switch the Pitch are now LIVE and will stay open until Saturday, October 17. Switch the Pitch partners Johnson MBAs and Cornell undergrads majoring in Computer Science to build a new product over one weekend and pitch it to Salesforce executives. The hook? MBAs pitch the tech. CS students sell the business. Build relationships across disciplines, demonstrate your passion for tech, test new ideas and gain exposure to industry insiders. Monday, October 5 and Tuesday, October 6 
With "campus" interviews just around the corner, the CMC is eager to support your career search success through the Mock Interview Program. CMC Advisors will conduct 1:1 behavioral mock interviews with registered attendees in the class of 2021. (Class of 2022 to come at a later date.) Professional dress is expected and feedback to be provided. Sign up on JTS.

Human Capital Association Symposium Week
Monday, October 5 to Thursday, October 8 from 5 to 8 p.m. (EST) 
HCA's 18th Annual Fall Symposium is right around the corner and we are thrilled to announce our theme for the year: "Beyond Unconscious Bias: HR's Role in Building an Equitable and Inclusive Workplace." The Symposium will kick-off with Tony Byers, former Head of Global Diversity & Inclusion at Starbucks, as our Keynote Speaker on October 5th! We'll be featuring DEI leaders across several Fortune 50 companies, including, Citi, Dell, Deloitte, Ecolab, Johnson & Johnson, Procter & Gamble, and Prudential. Register on Campus Groups. Hate in the Time of COVID
Wednesday, October 7 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. (EST) 
Join for a discussion on the history of Asian racialization in the U.S. and to learn about resources for anti-AAPI hate reporting and activism. Free and open to all, click here to register.

Indigenous Peoples' Day 
Monday, October 12 at 1 p.m. (EST) 
How do our memories of the past inform and influence the current racial and social landscape? Hear from young Native activists who are propelling this conversation forward and addressing the tension between history, memory, and current movements happening across America. This one-hour conversation will feature an introduction by director of the National Museum of the American Indian, Kevin Gover (Pawnee), a musical performance by hip-hop artist Frank Waln (Sicangu Lakota) and will be moderated by museum cultural interpreter, Michaela Pavlat (Sault Ste. 2020 Families in Business Conference

The 2020 Families in Business Conference will bring together students, owners from a diverse range of businesses, and the collective wisdom of leading academics and practitioners. Each day will feature a keynote conversation followed by networking, mentoring and peer group discussions. Register on Campus Groups

Emerging Markets Institute Annual Conference & 10th Anniversary
Friday, November 6 and Saturday, November 7
EMI was born in 2010 in the aftermath of the Global Financial crisis. A decade later, emerging markets are faced with yet another global crisis and this is an opportune moment for the EMI Annual Conference to explore how emerging markets will not just cope with the Covid-19 crisis but also emerge stronger to shape the global future. The Johnson Cannabusiness Club has partnered with the Michigan State University Cannabis Industry Association (MSUCIA) to put on an exceptional list of speakers for the fall semester.
