MARK YOUR CALENDARS FOR HEALTH & WELLNESS WEEK: OCTOBER 23 to OCTOBER 29
As part of an effort to improve our community's physical and mental health and overall wellbeing, Student Council is partnering with several student clubs and organizations to promote a healthy lifestyle as an MBA. Be on the lookout for more information coming soon and events to populate the MBA I and MBA II calendars. 


JOIN THE JOHNSON INTERNATIONAL BUDDY PROGRAM
Join for an opportunity to make real connections with other Johnson students. We are a diverse community and the ability to get to know others helps foster richer and deeper relationships that will form the basis of your global professional networks as you graduate. The expected time commitment is only two meetings over the fall semester and participants will receive their group assignments by mid-October. Click here to register before Wednesday, October 14!

SWITCH THE PITCH APPLICATIONS CLOSE ON SATURDAY
Applications for Switch the Pitch are now LIVE and will stay open until Saturday, October 17. Switch the Pitch partners Johnson MBAs and Cornell undergrads majoring in Computer Science to build a new product over one weekend and pitch it to Salesforce executives. The hook? MBAs pitch the tech. CS students sell the business. Build relationships across disciplines, demonstrate your passion for tech, test new ideas and gain exposure to industry insiders. STUDENT-ELECTED TRUSTEE CALL FOR CANDIDATES EXTENDED
The Committee for Campus-Constituency-Elected Trustees has extended the "Call for Candidates" for the Graduate and Professional Student Trustee election. Candidates may apply online by Wednesday, October 14, 2020. The elected candidate will serve as a full-voting member of the Cornell University Board of Trustees for a two-year term. Indigenous Peoples' Day 
Monday, October 12 at 1 p.m. (EST) 
How do our memories of the past inform and influence the current racial and social landscape? Hear from young Native activists who are propelling this conversation forward and addressing the tension between history, memory, and current movements happening across America. This one-hour conversation will feature an introduction by director of the National Museum of the American Indian, Kevin Gover (Pawnee), a musical performance by hip-hop artist Frank Waln (Sicangu Lakota) and will be moderated by museum cultural interpreter, Michaela Pavlat (Sault Ste. HTC & West Coast Society's BigTech Recruitment Panel
Tuesday, October 13 from 4:00 to 5:15 p.m. (EST) 

Hear from second-years who recruited for and interned at BigTech firms, including Amazon, Apple, Google and Microsoft. This will be a 45-minute panel followed by two rotations of 15-minute, function-specific breakout sessions. Register on Campus Groups.

Join the Smith Family Business Initiative for a conversation with Verónica Maldonado, Chairman of the Board of GEM (Grupo Economico Maldonado) since July 2018. Previously, she was Executive Director of the GEM Family Office and chair of the Maldonado Family Council. She is the president of the foundation, La Compañia Humana, which supports education, community development, music, and environmental awareness in Venezuela, as well as an advisor to first- and multi-generation family businesses. Emerging Markets Institute Annual Conference & 10th Anniversary

EMI was born in 2010 in the aftermath of the Global Financial crisis.
