Amanda Shaw

Assistant Dean, Student Services,
SC Johnson College of Business

Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, and raised in Glens Falls, New York, Amanda came to Cornell as an undergraduate before getting her MBA at Johnson. She’s a great resource for Johnson’s Roosevelt Island curriculum and global initiatives, like international trips and study abroad. She can also tell you where to get the best apple you’ll ever eat.

Nicole Pellegrino

Johnson Registrar
Interim Executive Director, Student Services

A true Ithaca local, Nicole can tell you everything you need to know about the Ithaca Farmers Market. She has traveled to all but four of the U.S. states (she’s still working on Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, and Alaska). She loves the different perspectives students bring to Johnson, and enjoys in-depth conversations about everything from the weather to politics to coursework. She’s also famous for insisting on iced coffee...even in a Polar Vortex!

Kathryn Kvasnica

Assistant Program Director, Student Services

From game day to game night—outside of work, you can often find Kathryn playing board games with friends or cheering for University of Michigan college football. She loves the energy in Sage Hall when MBA students are on campus, and is constantly inspired by the passion students bring to everything they do.

Ellen Murphy

Student Services Coordinator

Ellen is a podcast junkie, movie buff, and stand-up comedy fan who works primarily with our MPS-Management student population. A Buffalo, New York transplant, Ellen loves taking visitors (and her dog!) for hikes at Robert H. Treman State Park and the Cascadilla Gorge Trail. She's passionate about helping students achieve their goals, and is thrilled to have recently joined the Johnson team.

Who We Are

Student Services is a team of professionals dedicated to helping students navigate every aspect of their Johnson MBA program—academics, co-curricular and extracurricular activities, life on campus, and beyond.

We work closely with the Johnson Student Council, student leaders, faculty, and staff departments—from Admissions and the Office of Diversity and Inclusion to the Career Management Center and Leadership Programs—to ensure students have the support they need to meet their academic, professional, and personal goals.
