JOHNSON BOOK CLUB RECOMMENDS
Professor Andrew Davis: Ready Player One by Ernest Cline. If you are looking for elegant prose or a powerful story, Ready Player One is not for you. It is, however, a fabulous book for nerds who grew up during the glorious time of 80s television, movies, and video games. I perfectly fit this demo and ended up reading it in a single sitting (and later listened to the audio version). For instance, if any of the following catch your attention, you should definitely check it out: Wargames, Tron, Real Genius, the A-Team, Voltron, Airwolf, GI Joe, Weird Science, Space Invaders, Pitfall, Q-Bert, Joust, Dig Dug, and of course, Adventure.

In fact, for anyone that understood my “Konami/Contra cheat-code” joke from our EOQ class, this book is for you!
