Our mission is to increase support and awareness of disability and neurodiversity for current and incoming Johnson students.

Membership Benefits
Access Johnson members can participate in events and use our resources in one of three ways:

1) Publicly identifying as an individual with a disability and/or neurodiversity
2) Anonymously by only sharing your disability and/or neurodiversity with board members
3) As an advocate for disability and neurodiversity causes

Access Johnson offers three levels of membership in order to accommodate all students, at whatever their comfort level, to be involved.

Access 1- Publicly identifies as a person with a disability and/or neurodiversity

Access 2- Identifies as a person with a disability and/or neurodiversity only to AJ board member and faculty

Advocate- For those who have family members with disabilities and/or neurodiversities and those who would like to learn more

Johnson students are invited to self-identify as a person with a disability and/or neurodiversity or as an active advocate through their membership selection. This helps Access Johnson and Johnson's Office of Diversity and Inclusion identify and communicate directly with those individuals that publicly identify. Self-identification is optional. For individuals who want to get involved with Access Johnson but would not like to self-identify, we invite you to select the Advocate membership option.

The Johnson Family Business Club serves as a forum for students with an interest in privately held corporations. This club works with local family businesses to generate meaningful connections and opportunities to prepare for working within, leading, and passing on a family-owned enterprise over the course of time. This club is for any student who has a business in their family, regardless of the size, industry, or the student's personal experience within it. Additionally, students planning to start a family business in the future or who are interested in working for family businesses in consulting, asset management, or general management are welcome to join.The club focuses on three primary pillars: Networking, Education, and Recruiting.

Club activities include educational forums with current members, guest speakers from alumni and prominent business leaders, field-trips for on-site exposure to various corporations, advisory board position opportunities, networking events with other top business schools, and social outings.

Club members will examine current research, in partnership with the school's Smith Family Business Initiative, detailing the competitive advantages (and challenges) of family controlled businesses. Through an annual competition, The Consortium awards merit-based, full-tuition fellowships to America's best and brightest candidates. The Consortium was established in 1966, and its mission is to enhance diversity in business education and leadership by helping to reduce the serious under-representation of African Americans, Hispanic Americans and Native Americans in both our member schools' enrollments and the ranks of management. Outdoor Ventures club is comprised of members who are passionate about being outside and exploring. The Politics & Geopolitics Club is a non-partisan professional and social club intended to provide a forum in which Johnson and Cornell students can learn about and discuss current public policy and geopolitical events and ideas. The club's focus will often be targeted at the intersection of various political issues and business.

Student Council proactively works to improve Johnson by providing direction and implementing change. The committee consists of 16 elected students. The SC seeks input from students, faculty and staff on both strategic and tactical issues facing the school, focusing on strategic issues. Strategic areas range from alumni development to branding of the school to long term planning. Tactical areas range from curriculum requirements to food service to social events.
