About the Ithaca Ceremonies
All these ceremonies will be live-streamed, and links shared on this site the week of Commencement.
The Cornell University Commencement Ceremony on Saturday morning, May 23, 2026 in Schoellkopf Stadium is open for participation to all graduates of the Johnson School. Graduates process into the stadium, and guests sit in the stands. Degrees are officially conferred on each college/school as a whole. Individual graduate names are not announced. Graduate pre-registration and guest tickets are required. Details will be posted on the Cornell University Commencement website in January, 2026.

PHDs | In addition to the Cornell University Ceremony on Saturday morning, Johnson School PhD graduates may attend two other ceremonies: Cornell's PhD Ceremony on Friday evening in Barton Hall where individual names are announced as graduates are hooded (pre-registration required); and/or the Johnson School Recognition Ceremony on Saturday afternoon in Bartels Hall, Newman Arena, where individual names are announced as graduates process across the stage. Graduate pre-registration is required via a Johnson School survey graduates will receive in the spring. Guest tickets are not required, and there is no limit on how many guests may attend. ITHACA MBAs, CORNELL TECH MBAs & DUAL-CAMPUS MBAs | In addition to the Cornell University Ceremony on Saturday morning, Ithaca MBA, Cornell Tech & Dual-Campus MBA graduates may attend the Johnson School Recognition Ceremony on Saturday afternoon in Bartels Hall, Newman Arena, where individual names are announced as graduates process across the stage. EXECUTIVE MBAs & MSBAs | In addition to the Cornell University Ceremony on Saturday morning, Executive MBA, FMBA, and MSBA graduates may attend the Johnson School Recognition Ceremony on Saturday early evening where individual names are announced as graduates process across the stage. MPSs | In addition to the Cornell University Ceremony on Saturday morning, MPS in Management graduates may attend the Johnson School Recognition Ceremony on Sunday morning in the Statler Auditorium where individual names are announced as graduates process across the stage.
