Membership dues allow Out For Business to put on some of the events that make the MBA experience fun and transformational for Johnson students (some of which can be found here). Additionally, we charge slightly different membership dues for LGBTQ+ identifying individuals and our active allies because certain specific events are designed for the LGBTQ+ community only; these higher dues are representative of the additional programming offered to LGBTQ+ identifying members.
Self-identification
Johnson students are invited to self-identify as a member of LGBTQ+ community or as an active ally through their membership selection. This helps Out For Business and Johnson's Office of Diversity and Inclusion identify and communicate directly with those individuals that are publicly out. Self-identification at Johnson and with Out For Business is always optional. For individuals who want to get involved with Out For Business but aren't ready to be publicly out, we invite you to select the ally membership option.
