About The Association of Veterans

The Association of Veterans at Johnson is a dynamic and supportive organization that actively reaches out to prospective military veteran students and creates a community of veterans throughout Johnson and Cornell University. Specifically, Johnson veterans are devoted to: mentoring military applicants, supporting newly admitted veterans, educating the Johnson and Cornell community on military issues, assisting the Cornell ROTC with developing future military leaders, and building strong connections with veteran alumni.

What We Do - Summary of the Club's Charter

Internship and Full-time Preparation: We work with 1st and 2nd year Johnson students to best position them to secure their top summer internship and fulltime position. We conduct continuous resume and interview preparation throughout the summer and academic year to prepare members for on- and off-campus interviews with the goal of 100% of veteran candidates placed.

Recruiting Johnson Candidates: We strive to bring the best veteran talent to Johnson. We actively work with military officers who are interested in learning more about Johnson specifically and the MBA recruiting process in general. We pride ourselves on providing advice and information on the application process and making ourselves available to answer questions along the way. Club members are available to meet with prospective students during their visits to Cornell University.

Social Events: We bring together Johnson veterans and demonstrate the power of military leadership to our Johnson classmates. We strive to put the Veteran community in a positive light and educate Johnson and the greater Cornell community.

Education: We work with the Cornell Community to focus a spotlight on the positive role of the military in our society as well as the achievements of military Veterans. We work with University ROTC branches by providing mentoring and classroom instruction to ROTC cadets. In addition, we support local Veterans groups like the Cornell Veterans Colleague Network.
