FAQ

What should be my first point of contact with Johnson?

  • Your first point of contact should be here on the Veterans website or with any Johnson veteran that you may know. In addition, if you contact the Admissions department, please identify yourself as a veteran so that they can put you in touch with current Johnson veterans.

I am a veteran and I am planning to visit campus, how can I link-up with a current vet at the school?

  • Contact Us and send an email to the club officers. The Association of Veterans is available to show you around Johnson, the Cornell campus, and Ithaca. Furthermore, we can often provide a place to stay or recommendations for hotels, etc.

Can the Association of Veterans provide advice on how to best present my military and leadership experiences as I prepare my Johnson application, essays, and resume?

  • Yes, please reach out to the Association and Contact Us. As veterans who have recently gone through the business school application process, we are available to provide guidance and assistance to allow applicants to leverage their military experiences.

Veterans Benefit and Financial Aid Information

Various Johnson funds ensure that many veterans who come to Cornell to obtain an MBA at Johnson receive substantial support.

GI Bill Assistance (Post 9/11 and Yellow Ribbon)

Cornell University and Johnson have entered agreement with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to participate in the Yellow Ribbon Program, a supplement to the Post-9/11 educational benefit that further defrays the cost of higher education for military veterans. Veterans eligible for VA benefits should contact their Veterans Administration regional office for eligibility. Cornell's Office of the University Registrar will process all forms. For further information, please visit the VA website.

Peter and Stephanie Nolan Veterans Scholarship

For veterans of Afghanistan and Iraq, the Nolan Scholarship allows the Admissions & Financial Aid office to identify and reward outstanding Veterans who, we believe, will be an asset to Johnson.

Roy H. Park Leadership Fellows Program

Apply for the Park Fellowship, a full-tuition scholarship and leadership development program.

The Johnson Veterans Scholarship

The Johnson Veterans Scholarship is an endowment that is funded by veteran alumni contributions. Alumni veterans of the Johnson give back in many ways including supporting the school financially and enabling it to attract and support veterans that follow.
